Knitting Machines 5 Weeks for Beginners - Sunday 10:00 AM

If you know the basics of casting on, shaping, and casting off then you're ready to make some items on the bulky gauge knitting machine! If you've done the Absolute Beginners workshop with me then you are qualified to take the next step.

During this 5 week course (Sept 27, Oct 4, Oct 11, Oct 18, and Oct 25) we will be completing multiple projects in the spirit of fall! Think knitted stuffed gourds, fingerless gloves, working up to planning and knitting our first wearble garment like a vest or sweater.

• Please note an assortment of acrylic yarn and notions will be provided for all projects except for the final wearable.
• You can choose whatever fibre you like for the final garment, and we will discuss quantities and type during our course, but you will be responsible for providing those supplies for the final two weeks.

There will be one scholarship seat available for those experiencing financial hardship. If you would like to be considered for the seat please email me at impressedknot@gmail.com and simply request the scholarship seat, no explanation necessary. If there are multiple requests, all names will be put in lottery and the recipient drawn at random and notified by email on September 20th.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: The space is on the ground floor and accessible, but there is a small lip and two relatively heavy doors with no door opener on the route to the washroom. I am happy to show you around the space before the workshop (either in person or remotely via video call) to assess if this is navigable for any mobility issues.
